About

Professionally, soon after graduating college, Sharon earned her certificate as a Certified Public Accountant in Washington, DC. For many years, she had a successful accounting and tax preparation business, serving both individuals and small businesses. She also held real estate licenses in Washington, DC and Maryland, working with a broker that has historically been considered the top real estate company in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Creatively, Sharon has explored many mediums. She began sewing as a pre-teen, with projects ranging from clothing, to bags, to home décor. She learned to design jewelry, crafting pieces using glass, stone, metal, and wood, and even making unique one-of-a-kind beads and other jewelry using polymer clay that she sculpted and baked. There has also been some metalsmithing along the way, and the designing of a variety of enamel lapel pins that are popular to this day.
Sharon is most passionate about working with textiles, especially for fashion. Her focus in this area has led to her designing fashion collections seen on runways during major fashion week shows, and in major fashion magazines.
When not designing in her studio, Sharon loves traveling and exploring different cultures. She has visited countries in Africa, Europe, and Asia, islands in the Caribbean, and many cities throughout North America. She enjoys meeting people from all walks of life, and believes it enriches her own.
Through it all, Sharon has had successes and challenges, and is grateful for her experiences. She views them as opportunities for growth, and alchemizes the lessons she has learned into building blocks towards her goals and achievements.
